How to Care for Your Sustainable Swimwear

As a sustainable swimwear brand, all of our swimwear is made from sustainable and recycled fabrics. They are super-soft, eco-friendly, Italian luxe fabrics that will last countless seasons if taken care of properly. We provide you, our Kairos babes, with the best quality swimwear in the market while at the same time help clean up our oceans to create a more sustainable future.

Here are some low impact approaches I put together to help you care for your new favorite sustainable swimwear.

Hand Wash in Cold Water I found it’s best to try and wash your swimwear right after you’ve used them. Rinse your ‘kini in cold soapy water, refrain from using hot water because this can damage the fabric. Use a mild hand soap or delicate detergent when washing. The easiest way to hand wash your ‘kini is to take it into the shower with you or even rinse it in the sink but remember to make sure it’s with cold water.

Lay Out to Dry

Laying your swimwear out to dry instead of hanging it is actually better for it! After hand washing your ‘kini with cold soapy water, roll it tightly into a towel for a few seconds to soak up the majority of the water (that’s right, don’t wring it out!), then lastly lay it flat out to dry out of direct sunlight to avoid fading of it’s beautiful color and or print.

Avoid Mold

Mold is the LAST thing you want to have to deal with on your favorite bikini that’s why it’s very important to keep your swimwear stored in a dry place with good air flow and ventilation. Avoid leaving your wet swimwear in your towel or bag for long periods of time to prevent the possibility of mold growth babe!

Switch Them Up

I don’t know about you but personally when I buy a new bikini it becomes my absolute favorite and I’ll want to wear it everywhere!
