KAIROS 'KINIS is not just about the ‘kinis we offer, it is about a mindset we want to share with women around the world. One that reminds, empowers and enables us all to live life doing what we love, with the people we love! Creating perfect, beautiful opportunities every second of every day!

 

I’m Macy, designer and founder of KAIROS 'KINIS. I first developed an affinity with traveling, the ocean, and swimwear at the young age of 14.  Traveling to different, beautiful places around the world sparked my adoration with the natural world, and gave me a unique confidence to create a swimwear line that fits me and what I love. I found designing my ‘kinis very exciting! Before I was swept up in the process I made a promise that I would never contribute to the degradation of the planet and people involved in the making of my ‘kinis.  I researched company’s who sold high-quality, eco-friendly, luxe fabrics and materials to work with. This is how I came across the amazing company I partnered with. I fell in love with their goal and overall vision as a company and couldn’t wait to start working with them to create KAIROS 'KINIS.

 

The name came to me late one evening.

Kairos - [kīräs] noun, Greek

mMeaning the perfect, delicate, crucial moment; the fleeting rightness of time and place

 

This was perfect because I strongly believe that everyday you have the choice to create perfect beautiful opportunities not only for yourself, others, but the world. Since then I’ve continued to dream and refine my designs to celebrate and accentuate the female figure. My idea is to empower young women through my ‘kini designs, and create something that they’ll cherish for years to come all while being able to create perfect, beautiful opportunities for themselves, others, and the world with minimal impact on the environment. Protecting our environment has been a cause close to my heart since I can remember. Turning that passion into creating Kairos 'kinis has been a magnificent journey through celebrating and creating for young women that love the ocean as much as I do.

 

In early 2020 I have made the decision to finally bring something to life that I have wanted to share with the world, but like any designer I am hesitant to see how it would be welcomed.

 

Knowing I can offer something to young women that makes them feel incredible and has them creating an extraordinary life for themselves makes me beyond excited. Of course, I have my challenges (both business and personal) and there are so many things I can’t wait to improve on and share with my Kairos babes. But what’s important is knowing that young women from all over the world are creating their own perfect, beautiful opportunities in our Kairos ‘kinis - which only makes me even more excited and focused on my business’s and own personal mission:

 

To create super-comfy, flattering, eco-friendly swimwear that empowers all women and honours sustainable practice.
